Great

Classic historic grand hotel. Beautiful hotel; however, they need to bring breakfast back to the Garden Court from years ago. They do have lunch, but breakfast would be even nicer. Rooms are spacious but no drawers for any clothes. Only closet for hanging clothes. Housekeeping staff was excellent.

Need to improve service at the coffee bar. The line a mile long!

I love this hotel and our suite was amazing for the 4 of us.

The Garden Dining area was stunning. The breakfast buffet and service were outstanding. The hotel is impeccable and well appointed.

Great staff! Clean space.

Everything was great except for checking in. The room was ready about an hour after our check-in time.

The following morning, I went downstairs to grab a coffee and the employee working at the stand was incredibly rude. She definitely needs additional customer service training, as her attitude was completely unprofessional. To make matters worse, during checkout the valet brought my vehicle and parked it in the middle of a busy street. I had to quickly load my two toddlers into the car while traffic was passing by. I told the valet attendant this was extremely unsafe and unacceptable. Overall, this was a terrible experience. Between the poor customer service, lack of professionalism, and unsafe valet practices, I will not be returning.

That said, some areas of the hotel feel dated. The hallways in particular look old and have a harsh white lighting that feels more like a hospital than a luxury property. The rooms have high ceilings and a good size, which is a plus, but the bathrooms are relatively small. The white lighting in the rooms also creates a very cold ambiance, which takes away from the overall comfort. In general, much of the furniture throughout the hotel could benefit from a renovation. Overall, it’s a beautiful historic property in a great location. With some thoughtful modernization that respects and blends with the hotel’s classic character, it could truly be exceptional.

Very beautiful hotel in very nice location, close to everything.

Wonderful

The person at the registration was nice and cordial. I liked the shower and the amenities offered. For such a pricey room, one would expect high quality insulation. We could hear the people next door as if they were in our room. No privacy. Their kids were very loud.

Amazing place amazing customer service amazing stuff

Friendly staff, the doormen were very helpful!
-
Staff was overall excellent - except the guy at the check in desk who seemed a little grumpy. The hotel is very accommodating to pets. Location is more business district but the history and beauty of the Palace should not be missed. Get the crispy Brussels sprouts from the in-room dining menu - you will thank me.
