Kimpton Hotel Enso by IHG

Poor breakfast.

The convenience to explore Japan Town within walking distance and the comfort of the rooms. Safe underground garage No signage of the breakfast area and bar. And operating hours of the bar was none existent. The hotel's website needs to be updated on food places that are in the area. The few listed no longer exist/closed down. Breakfast was mentioned it's Thai influenced but nothing on the breakfast menu is Thai influence. More of standard American breakfast. The room I selected mentioned sound proof and it wasn't really a sound proof room. Could hear our next door neighbors and people walking past the room.

No carafe in the guest rooms. So, bring your own water bottle for refill. Refill stations only on 2 floors. No coffee or tea in rooms. Parking is best at the Japan Center. Pay more and park at the hotel but don't forget to book the parking at the time of reservation to avoid full lot on the day of arrival.

Perfect location!

The room was clean and the staff were attentive. The location of the hotel was perfect. So why did I take a star off? Well, first of all the beds were not very comfortable. The beds were too soft and kinda sloped off the sides so you felt like you were going to roll off. The bathroom layout was ridiculous; there was a ton of empty unused space in the bathroom when more counter space would have been helpful. The counter around the sink was not enough for the toiletries of two adults. The door to the bathroom opened out and blocked the exit and was maybe the worst part of the whole room; this is something you might need to experience to understand how annoying it was. The room could have used more storage in general; there was plenty of empty room for extra furniture. There was no dresser with drawers to put your clothes, which is really helpful if you're staying more than a few days and need to organize. Lastly, I would have liked to have breakfast available, and also tea/coffee all day instead of just 6-10am. The tea and coffee were good though, so I will give them that. We also never got our free bottle of wine.

Ideal location on edge of Chinatown. We had sunny corner room.

wifi in the room was awful, made it very hard to work from the room
