The hotel is very secured. My husband booked 2 queens and initially the checked in guy put us on first floor but the old guy with white hair said that we need to be on the second floor due to our 10 lbs dog. He placed us on a very small room with full beds, noisy AC and broken curtains. We were so disappointed. Good thing I booked another room as I know with the 3 of us we will not fit in the room. Good thing I did since it was not even a queen bed. Fortunately , the second room is so much bigger than the first one. My take with management - my husband paid a lot for the first room and placed in the worse room probably in the hotel just because of my dog. The advantage of the hotel is it’s close to cable cars and shopping. Other than that definitely will not stay. No breakfast and no parking. You have to pay for valet parking.

So first off it seemed like it would be great the person on the phones helped me a lot bc the area was crazy busy and was getting lost n overwhelmed! Once I got in —— welll diff story got to my room and its SMALL it’s a sleep n leave type - the bathroom gross had stuff on the wall shower slippery— I was so tired I didn’t even try to get food or anything also didn’t get a drink voucher ! The hallways noisy u can hear the doors and such closing people walking— when I went to leave the front desk he was amazing sweet and was prob the best part of the stay — fyi I have yet to hear from the manger — now let’s talk the area 2 blocks up u don’t wanna be alone !! I prob will not go back and stay at my fav on the ward and feel safer n cleaner

It was a good place to stay. The staff at the front desk was very nice and helpful. He said we could ask for checkout extension to 1:00pm. However, on our checkout day, it was another staff on front desk. We asked for the extension, at first he rejected, and said we have to pay a late fee, $75. Then, when I mentioned that the first day, that staff promised that we can ask for checkout extension just by calling or telling them, the staff said he can extend the time, but only to 12:30pm, cuz they have to have time to clean the room (general check-in time is 3:00pm). This somehow messed up our original plan. And we felt very uncomfortable how we were treated.

Clean rooms. Plenty of room

Room was very spacious and clean . No ducted aircon it was very warm in the room , no Breakfast or Restaurant facilities , Our room was a little noisy due to aircon in the window. It was a bit far from Fisherman’s wharf where all the action was but otherwise a really nice place

Parking is cheapest, safe and easy one block up from the hotel, but you can pull up in front of the hotel to unload all your things first and check in. The front desk staff especially Steve was so wonderful! I booked through expedia and was eligible for a free bottle of wine! I booked the king suite and it was perfect for my grandpa and I go take the local transport to the Giants game! Go to breakfast at Moz's Cafe and get some chocolate at Dandelion Chocolates!

very out dated property, the pictures don't reflect close to what the property is, there is not even a vanity in the washroom and terrible smell. i will not recommend.

Loved the location near Union Square, the MUNI and the subway, restaurants, our conference hotel. It's a historic hotel with smallish rooms and a lot of charm. Very quiet compared to conference hotels, which is much appreciated! Staff is super nice and helpful. The bed and other furniture was a little worn but clean.
