Hampton Inn & Suites Jacksonville Deerwood Park

I booked through Expedia about 2 weeks in advance ( May 25, 2026 ) our reservation were for June 9, 2026 - June 13, 2026. WHY would someone Not reach out and INFORM us of CONSTRUCTION happening at this particular site !!! Horrific. The staff members were nice and accommodating BUT THE NOISE NOISE NOISE. Machine noise starts early, elevator are BUSY. 2 elevators ( 1 marked for construction use ) and that particular elevator seem to be the ONLY one we could ever catch. Our last day there I was scold by a construction worker because I tried to enter "their" elevator. 😒 Scornful remarks: our newly renovated room had flickering lights, water that takes 10 minutes or so to warm up, fire sprinklers had missing ceiling rings. And the wall mounted toilet paper holder kept falling and swimming pool was out of order also. So you have to go next door to use the Marriott pool ( 2 creepy guys at that pool that morning and they must of had a party because the place needed cleaning )🙄 Bright Side : housekeeping staff were VERY FRIENDLY and ACCOMMODATING. ALSO a plus ; movies, restaurants are nearby. Walking distance. Stay away from the Mexican restaurant it's NOT worth your money.

All things considered this was a great stay. However the property is undergoing renovations therefore a lot of construction. The pool is under construction and not available but there was a contingency plan available with use of the pool on the property next door. The water was down when we arrived but our room wasn’t ready anyway so we went out for lunch, by the time we got back water was restored. It went out again the next day for several hours due to construction but in the middle of the day to early evening and we were not affected. Other than these minor inconveniences the stay was great. The staff were very friendly and helpful. It would have been nice to know about the construction when making reservations.

The staff was nice and helpful. the hotel was being renovated, so the hotel had made accommodations with the hotel next door to allow its guests to use the pool. The hotel also was in a great location The hotel was under construction with little noise

Nothing. Booking com never informed me that the hotel was under renovation and the pool was closed. No fitness center. When I booked with you under special request if I could get a roll in shower. The toilet was so low that at 4 in the morning I had to use the bathroom in the lobby. I have a prosthetic leg which makes things very difficult. One elevator was out of order. 2 cockroach on the floor alive in the dining area. I'm so disgusted. See above

This place is amazing. Stuff is super friendly and helpful, breakfast is great, rooms are spacious, clean and up to date.

Crooks. They called us the morning of our check-in while we were traveling to tell us they are undergoing major construction from morning to evening with water outages, long elevator delays, and loud construction. We were traveling for a wedding and needed to be able to clean up before the wedding. They said construction started February 16, but only notified us the day of Check-in, again, while we were traveling. I requested a refund and they told us to contact Expedia, but there was no option in Expedia as it was our Check-in day. Very convenient for Hampton Inn and Expedia. Very inconvenient for us.

This is our favorite hotel when we stay in Jacksonville to visit family. This facility is always clean and very accommodating.

The whole property is/was being renovated at the time of our stay. As such, The pool & patio area were closed, there was a lot of noise during working hours and the hallway by our room was quite dirty. The shower in our room was not put together right, so there was only a hand-held shower and it was covered in plaster dust. The breakfast was decent and the dining area was very nice, though one of the TVs was dying. Most of the staff was delightful while some seemed out of place in the hospitality industry. We didn't have any trouble parking and always felt safe. Plenty of restaurant options within walking distance and others nearby. We wouldn't mind staying here again, but not until the construction is finished. Note: the pool under construction was disclosed before we booked, but not the greater construction project.

Great location, spacious rooms I did not like the fact that there was construction, parking issues and the pool was unavailable.. that should be noted when people are trying to booking a hotel.. and the breakfast wasn’t great..

It was under construction and there was no mention of that on Hotels web site. It was very noisy and there was no hot water for the two day stay. The Hampton Inn didn’t do anything to make up for this inconvenience. My last Hampton Inn stay.
