It was okay

A beautiful historical hotel. Staff was so friendly and helpful. LOVED the style of the hotel. Located in a quiet part of town overlooking the river.

The style of this vintage Mexican hotel is good. Have nice and indie vibe. However, the staff there are dumb, they are lack of management. During our stay, me and my boyfriend were doing things happily on bed and one of their staff used key to open our door directly walked in without any knocking and noticing which scared us badly. And the front desk explained the room service entered the wrong room by mistake and don’t know where is the right room??! If they have room secured lock that would be better, but they are quite old fashioned and unfortunately I don’t feel safe at all. Very uncomfortable psychologically.

It was a very good stay. Staff was friendly and helpful.

It's very old but there's no way to get into contact with anyone for reservations or the front desk. I've been attempting to call for 2 days and it's just robots and robots. Very unnecessary.

Friendly staff and beautiful room.

Beautiful, historic hotel! The staff was super friendly and helpful! It’s in a quiet part of the Riverwalk, limited dining options within walking distance, but I would definitely stay here again!
-
Did not disclose prior that bar was taken down and not operation. Provided two drinks vouchers for the mini bar yet still charged me.

We’ve made it a habit to come any special occasion!! The pent house is a little pricey, but worth the cost.

Quaint, with a classic lobby, squeaky floorboards, and doors that don't quite fit the doorframes. Leans heavily on its theme, nominally a hotel in Cuba, and the run down furniture and old school appliances help to see that vibe. It does highlight why some advances were made since that time: the light is warm but dim, the sink is small, the bed squeaks. I visited while both restaurant and bar were under renovation, so they may add some needed amenities. The staff were very friendly and helpful. My rate was reasonable (discounted for the lack of restaurant/bar, maybe) so i cant complain, but if i had paid full rack rate, i think I'd feel less sanguine.

THE ROBE WAS GREAT!
-
Really nothing more than just a room. Price was not any cheaper than a full service hotel in a better part of town. The bar and the restaurant were both allegedly undergoing renovation so really no services here other than your room.
-
Bathroom was a little dirty. Coffee was not available in the morning, morning front desk clerk was not attentive. Other than those details, a charming hotel room with a lovely balcony, and close to the River walk.
-
No restaurant, no breakfast options on site, and the bar is closed indefinitely. This is my second time at this property and I was so disappointed to discover that it had been bought out by a larger company. A lot of the personal touches were missing and the Mojito Bar was one of the coooles bars in SA. The staff are still great and it’s still a beautiful building.
-
Beautiful historic hotel! We had a corner room with lots of natural light and tall ceilings. Bed was comfortable and bathroom was clean. Liked the full fridge to keep snacks during our stay.
-
A great stay. Parking isn't included in some packages, as it states that it is on Expedia, but other than that a good experience.
-
Great bed.
-
Great stay. Would caution about reserving the Grand Suite. The entry hall is directly behind the bed. Expect creaky floor and elevator noise into the night. Beautiful suite! Comfortable bed.Great stay!
-
A bit expensive for what it is but great location with lots of charm!

Came up for a Bridal Shoot for my daughter and I to stay here and get ready. Ordered Mimosa's for two that was supposed to be beautifully set up for $55; instead the ingredients stuck in the fridge (ok fine) with no chiller left in the room and I was charged $193 after I checked out ofcourse. I tried calling, emailing and customer support and nothing. This is unacceptable.
