Love the location. Staff was very helpful. Check-in was slow. They need more people at the front desk. Would like to see more modern amenities.

Excellent location! Good price for location. It is an older hotel but has been very well maintained. Staff was friendly and helpful. I would stay there again.

Best place to stay during my NBA Finals stay right next to the Alamo . Easy walk to many restaurants and bars .

Just a hotel with nothing out of the ordinary, only just the restaurant was nice.

The front office was very helpful. It is a very unique hotel with great historical significance and with a great location. The rooms are little older and run down. The room was rather small. Also, the pool did not look very clean.

We did not like the digital valet. No one wants to fill out all their personal information AGAIN just to get their car. The property needs repairs. There are several water leaks. The location is amazing. Steps from the river walk and Alamo.

Friendly, courteous. $98 for parking one night. I will find somewhere else to stay.

We had one downfall on our experience but the guy at the desk name Teagan his badge said Hotel menger…he gave us the best customer service and made us feel comfortable about our stay. He knew exactly what we needed and made sure we were taking care of.i hope to see him again when we come back to visit. He gave us a positive attitude from start to finish.

The parking situation was ridiculous. Valet parking is $50, and self-parking is also costly, with charges adding up quickly. Make sure you understand the parking fees before you arrive. The hotel also appears to offer complimentary paranormal activity. Between the sounds of horses trotting in the hallway and street noise, my daughter was convinced the place was haunted. The bathroom and pocket-sized pool had obvious maintenance and cleanliness issues. One of the light fixtures was literally hanging from the ceiling and the “pool” was covered in mosquitos. Unless you’re looking for a hotel stay that dates back to Texas’s Independence, I’d recommend staying elsewhere

Loved everything about the place Having to talk to someone not at the hotel for reservation. We stayed 6 months ago, and a wonderful lady set it up for us at the hotel. This time, the person was not from the hotel and actually hung up on me when I said the price difference was too much, and I guess I would have to go thru a 3rd party. He immediately hung up on me. I booked and came anyway, but I do not like this change at all.
