Good location but mediocre operation. Not a single thing stood out but plenty of unpleasant moments. Check in was unclear and could have been more welcoming. AC unit rattled all night. Stayed for three nights and not once was the room cleaned, sheets cleaned etc. (this was unacceptable for the price we paid), side doors to enter the property were unlocked which was a security hazard, billing was tricky, twice we were given the wrong bill. Not a fan.

I was very offended and unimpressed that one of the front desk staff members accused my son of stealing from the little supermarket. He was in there looking around for a snack and I asked him to tell me if there was anything he wanted and then to come ask me for the money. I was upstairs in the room. The staff member asked him to lift up his shirt and empty his pockets and he said why, and she said that she saw him put something in there. His pockets were empty and he had not put anything in there. My son is only 13 years old and I think it is completely inappropriate to ask him to lift up his shirt to prove he has not stolen! The right thing to do would’ve been to ask him to please leave or get his parent.

I've stayed at the Courtyard by Marriot in Short Pump several times. The location is excellent. It's close to good shopping, nice restaurants and most important my mom's assisted living facility. The staff is always friendly and helpful. And the rooms are very comfortable. It's a great stay particularly for what they charge.

Pretty good. This is the first place I've stayed where you had to charge your breakfast to your room. No cash. This was somewhat confusing. Compounding the problem was that there was only one person working the bar where you had to order. This person had to explain the charge-to-the room requirement...and prepared the food. Mattress was lumpy.

The staff were wonderful. The room was clean and well designed. The mattress (to soft) and pillows (flat) were uncomfortable for our liking.

We were charged daily for parking even though we did not have a car and had to go to counter twice to have charges removed. Food at cafe was pricey

I Think it is time to simply replace the bed linen set. Other than that, the hotel is well managed and cleaned. I will definitely stay there again.

Two issues one I didn’t have a car and two on their website. It says free self parking. Please make sure you check your bill.

The staff were kind and considerate! Rooms were comfy and clean. Will stay again when visiting Richmond.
