Universal's Hard Rock Hotel

Property clean and well suited for our short graduation get away. Food inside the Kitchen restaurant and cafe was excellent although two ice cream cones on two separatedays were made incorrectly. I was unhappy there was no streaming or air play options available on the tv. I was not pleased when the side reading lamp on headboard fell out nearly hitting me in the head. There was only one nightstand therefore any person sleeping on the opposite side has no place available to charge mobile device or place a beverage. There are very few electrical outlets in rooms and none in lobby seating lounge on floor three which was necessary upon arrival (after a long flight) while waiting for room to be ready. Seating by the pool is limited and majority sits on a sanded area which is difficult for handicap guests and elder adults. I believe for a five-star hotel there are many things that could use improvement.

My only minor nitpick is that they definitely need more umbrellas in the pool area—especially during the peak summer heat when shade is hard to come by. Other than that, it was a perfect trip and we would definitely stay here again!

Hard Rock Hotel has become our default choice when we visit the Universal Resort, the staff, vibe, location are everything we look for, and the express passes you get for staying here are honestly worth it for maximizing your time at Universal / Islands of Adventure. **Nothing**: Honestly there wasn't anything to note here, the stay exceeded our high expectations, and can't wait to visit again - thank you to the team for looking after us!

It was just ok. First of all it should state that fast passes always come with the rooms and your actually not paying for them in with the rooms it’s convenient that it’s close to the parks but it’s not worth it all together with the rates. I would not recommend booking through Expedia it’s a rip off. Then when you try to get some help no one does anything to help. Other than that the pool was alright. The staff are excellent very friendly and all around great people.

This is a very large resort-style hotel with beautiful grounds and an amazing pool area. It has the charm of the classic grand hotels, with spacious common areas and a relaxing atmosphere. Our room was incredibly large, comfortable, and well maintained. We experienced no issues with either the room or the hotel facilities during our stay. Most of the staff were friendly and welcoming. We had a small issue when we first arrived, but it was handled professionally and efficiently, so I have no complaints. Some employees went above and beyond to help us, while others were less engaged, but that is something you can encounter anywhere. One thing I should mention is that I initially thought the hotel was located right next to Universal Orlando. It is not within walking distance in the way I had imagined, but it is very close to CityWalk, and the complimentary water taxis make transportation to the parks extremely easy and enjoyable. The biggest advantage of staying here is definitely the Universal perks. Early park admission and unlimited Express Pass access added tremendous value to our visit and saved us a significant amount of time. The only real downside for me was the price. It is certainly an expensive hotel, and that would be my main consideration before booking again. Aside from that, I had an excellent stay and encountered no problems. Would I stay here again? Absolutely—but the cost would be the factor that makes me think twice. None
