We have stayed at this hotel many times. It's been our go to hotel whenever we travel from RDU, they have parking and an Airport shuttle, are very close to RDU. We have always been very happy staying here. BUT the problem we encountered staying here on each end of our last vacation is the room noise that is now present that we have never previously encountered. I'm not talking about loud guests, I am talking about a noise that sounds like the 'rumble of air turbulence noise' you hear when jets are slowing down to land. Maybe the hotel got a new rooftop air handler system or new fans moving air throughout the hotel? I don't know what is causing it but you cannot sleep in peace without ear plugs. Which I used but then can't hear if there is some emergency at the hotel. I think we were on the 2nd floor before our trip and we were on the 4nd floor after trip and both rooms had the issue. I would give this hotel a 5 star rating if it wasn't for this problem. If you dont mind wearing ear plugs, its a nice place to stay.

I had an excellent stay at the Holiday Inn! From the moment I checked in, the staff was friendly, professional, and welcoming. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, with everything I needed for a relaxing stay

Breakfast should be free like all the other Holiday’s Inn.

What I did NOT like in this lovely hotel with the great staff is the fact that breakfast was an extra charge, and that was not communicated in advance.

Exceptional

Decent property with indoor pool. They just price gouge you with paying for parking and $16 per person breakfast which is usually complimentary. Expedia had it listed free/included when paid and then it changed when I had the receipt. Interesting … additionally the staff were rude unhelpful. Had black trash bags on the window when we arrived.

Regardless of these issues and planes flying overhead, we had a nice stay, slept well and enjoyed having a coffeemaker, microwave and frig in the room.

Clean, large, and beautiful

everything was great...The room was immaculate, the bathroom was a good size, the business center was useful, the staff were pleasant, and there was a shuttle to the airport. nothing...
-
Always a pleasant experience when staying here. Never any complaints. I’d chose to stay here over and over again.
-
They will charge you $10 for parking per day.to park in the parking lot at the hotel.......that's not cool!
-
Very close to the airport. Was not happy with the $10 parking fee for each night.

The stay was comfy and the shuttle to the airport was very convenient. My issues were the pool was too cold for me to really enjoy, despite it being hot outside, and the ease of getting a shuttle back. The water may have been warmer if it was outdoors and soaked up some sunlight. There was also a nice bar/restaurant on site. I only ordered some drinks to go but service was friendly. I did have an issue on my return trip. No one at this facility was answering the phone when I needed a shuttle back to the hotel to get my car. I ended up calling the sister hotel, Holiday Inn Express, and they helped me out. Also, do not pay for parking through Expedia. The hotel does not take that as payment for parking which is $10 a day. So now I'll have to take time out of my day to sit on the phone with Expedia and hopefully get my $30 back.

What stay I didn't stay
-
Had to wait too long for shuttle pick up from the airport

The room was well-maintained, the bed was comfortable, and the overall atmosphere was quiet and relaxing. I also appreciated the easy access to nearby restaurants, shopping, and major highways. I would definitely recommend this hotel to travelers looking for a convenient and comfortable place to stay in the Raleigh-Durham area and would consider staying here again in the future.
