Hollywood Beach Blue Wave

Great location. Even checked in late and staff accommodated.

No ice staff was late opening office wifi sucked no hot water

Recently planned a little staycation with a couple friends. We saw blue wave was available so we book 2 rooms, when we got to the property to check in it was actually through Hollywood beach hotels which owns a few properties. When I recieved my keys I noticed that they had assigned me to a different property which is not what I booked. When I noticed i immediately let the front desk agent know, he then told me that there were no more rooms available at blue wave which was confusing because why would they allow you to book it if there wouldn’t be enough rooms?? I explained I had other friends staying at blue wave so me being at another property defeats the purpose of even booking with them. He then went & looked to find that there was in fact rooms available at blue wave which was nice of him. Unfortunately the room I received was so hot and humid that I did not enjoy my stay whatsoever. I’ve booked with Hollywood beach hotels a few times & have ever had such a terrible experience.

I am concerned that the reviews on hotels.com are not fully legitimate because this establishment received a 9 rating and it was awful. One of the worst! The bathroom was infested with some sort of insect lavre. The staff was not pleasant and you pay $19+ for parking but parking is sparse. It is not a good place. When time permits I will be demand a refund.

Original room was awful. We were moved to a way nicer room. The AC was loud but didn’t bother us sleeping. Loved the pool. And the location.

The kitchen isn't equipped with anything except the stove. The lady who checked us in was nice, but the first front desk staff we encountered was really rude. Parking was listed as $19, but we were charged an extra $20 for some fee.

It was your typical continental breakfast toast bagels English muffins hard boiled eggs cereal coffee I booked for a particular hotel but they were owned by a corporation and when I went to check in they put me in a totally different building that was nothing like the pictures they advertise for the Blue Wave when we complained they told us people only stay in that building for one night and then it's noisy we're not babies we don't go to bed at 7:00. We finally told them it was false advertising they took us over to the building finally after us saying the room they put us in was not what we booked and they let us look at it and that was an old room again that looked nothing like the pictures they had online I asked the manager of housekeeping and she told us that there are no rooms that look like the pictures they use so it all false advertising do not book with this Hollywood hotels they are rude nasty people. They advertise heated pools they had the heat on until March 1st turned it off and it was ice cold the room we got was dirty the floor was covered in sand there were no hangers etc we asked when we checked in they told us oh yeah we'll bring you some the next day still nothing stay away from them I will never go back. Oh don't forget all the little fees they including everything. They advertise parking $18 a day we stayed two weeks with all their fees it was $250 absolutely rip off

Neither my family nor I received the room originally booked. The pricing is exorbitant. The gentleman at the front desk provided the poorest customer service, neglecting us, dismissing us verbally, and exhibiting hostility as if he intended to intimidate my family and me. The condition of the room was unacceptable, with rat droppings on the bed and the unit being rented with snot on the wall, inappropriate inscriptions on picture frames, and there was no hand or shower soap. The paintwork and baseboards were in deplorable condition. Upon entry, one observed trash on the couch and floor, as if house keeping swept and pushed aside the debree to the edges. Overall, this was the worst experience I have encountered, and I would strongly advise against considering this hotel.

I really enjoy every moment i come down. I have been staying at the Blue wave for approx 14 yrs. I have met so many great people. As time the staff has became family to me. I would like thank Maria and Donna for always being there. Phil

Breakfast was ok, location was quite good,front office was a bit slow with lineups always..facilities was ok Kitchen and fridge were non existant…and very poor internet service.

Besides the inconvenience of the check in, the place was clean, comfortable, have heated pool and it is very well located! The check in process is at the office in the corner and there was no instructions to where to go. I had to call to get the information. Also waited 40 minutes in a line to do my check in.
