Fortunately, the receptionist was kind enough to accommodate our request to switch rooms. The second room was in better condition—there was no water on the floor and no mildew smell. The curtains were dusty but did not appear to have mold. One downside was that the microwave available in our room was not working, which made it impossible to heat up leftovers. The pool was decent, however. The water was clean, and my son enjoyed cooling off after spending time in the heat. While the price of our stay was reasonable, the overall experience reflected the lower cost. In the end, you get what you pay for. Unfortunately, I would not choose to stay at this location again.

Great AC Room was good but in 5 nights no one replaced toilettries. It was quiet and room 126 got pitch black. That was the highlight of it.

You won’t find a better value this close to downtown. Room was very clean and functional. Very conveniently located to many of the popular ATX attractions. Will return.

Much nicer on the inside than you would expect.

The room was spacious and clean and the a/c worked very well. The beds were firm (which I prefer). It is easy to get to off the highway. And walking distance to the Moody Amphitheater and an easy drive to downtown. The bathroom wasn't as clean as it could be. It needed a deep clean and deodorization. As we were only there a few nights it wasn't a big deal but definitely something that should be looked at.

It’s close to downtown and UT Austin. I was there for my child’s orientation at UT Austin it’s only a five minute drive. Dirty shower, roaches and bugs. Doors didn’t close right we had to place a chair to hold the door closed. No ironing board in any room. We asked. The food was horrible and old and they “put away” the food early so you can’t really have that continental breakfast. The yogurt was old , stale bread and the juice was biter.

We booked here because it was convenient for a concert at the Moody Center across the highway. Not disappointed! Free parking, easy to walk to venue, did not hear traffic noise inside room, free breakfast was nice. Don’t let the need for some new paint keep you away if you’re looking for a budget friendly option.

This is an inexpensive motel that is in a decent location.

The room was nice, notably clean, and comfortable; however, the pool was out of commission and the gym equipment is outdated.

The location is great for taking a quick ride to downtown. Close to shops and places to eat. The Moody Center is close, we took an Uber to a concert there, but walked back. The beautiful state capitol building is near. The swimming pool is nothing to write home about, but we were able to relax and cool off in it. The pool was clean. Staff were polite. We did not check out the breakfast, chose to door dash food and coffee in the morning instead. The motel is very run down and out dated. You had to go to the desk if you wanted ice, as the other machines were broken. The air conditioner was an old model, however it did cool the room enough to relax. The toilet had bad pressure and you had to flush it at least 2-4 times (even for toilet paper alone). The sink kept clogging up, and the shower curtain would not stay closed, so water always got on the floor. Furniture was old, a strip on the floor was coming loose and easy to trip on. There was black mold on the inside of the bathroom door at the base where the wood was rotting away. The beds were not very comfortable. Bedding and towels were old, some stains but appeared clean as could be. I wish I would have taken more pictures of the room. The pictures on the hotel site and Booking.com are clearly old, from when the place was newer.
