Omni San Diego Hotel at the Ballpark

Everything was wonderful from checking in to check out

Beautiful hotel, modern clean rooms and walking distance to convention center, petco park and gaslamp district.

The room was clean and quiet. The pool area is nice. Staff were all friendly and helpful. Perfect location in the Gaslamp.

Amazing staff.

I love the Omni. It's in a great location, and the staff is wonderful. However, the air conditioning in my room was broken. I called to have it fixed. They sent someone up right away and had it fixed in no time. The maintenance person was very nice.

The hotel is strategically located in a park where one can enjoy a variety of events. The restaurant was just amazing.

The only downside was the service from some of the staff, particularly at the front desk. It seemed that whenever we asked a question, the answer was immediately “no,” and there was little effort made to be helpful or provide additional information. Even when it felt like they could have assisted, they didn’t seem very willing to do so. On the other hand, the valet team was outstanding. They were friendly, professional, and incredibly helpful throughout our stay

We were also celebrating a special occasion and had requested a room within a particular room series. While we were not requesting a specific room number, our request was unfortunately not accommodated, which was disappointing given the nature of our stay. Additionally, there is an opportunity to improve guest communication and overall customer service. Clearer, more proactive communication regarding property conditions and guest requests would greatly enhance the overall experience. The property itself has many positive attributes, but better communication and attention to guest preferences would make a meaningful difference.

Clean rooms and great location!

I loved ALL the staff!!! They were more than wonderful. They made my stay better. Every single person was great and memorable. The Tiki bar by the pool had the most amazing food. I would go back just for that! Shoutout for Tony who recommended trying both desserts, which were heavenly. The bed was a little too hard for me, no vent in the bathroom. But it was very clean, nice, and the view was great. It was a bit noisy with the trolley, metro, train and all. But it didn't ruin anything.

I mean it's the OMNI! Everything was perfect here. The staff, the hotel, the room and view, the stay, the connecting bridge to the Petco Park. The valet was an easy drive up process and the bellhop/porter was extremely kind and helpful, emptied out our luggage from the vehicle. The check in process was simple and quick. The staff was so friendly to my dog and even provided him with a treat. Every time we came down, every staff member gave him compliments. The water bottles were free and provided at anytime of being requested. We stayed two nights and both nights the housekeeping was very pleasant and even though I had my dog, a medium size frenchie, the housekeeper was willing to come in and change our towels and make the bed. She was very kind. The hotel surrounding area felt safe and the noise wasn't an issue being on the 11th floor. The view was gorgeous! Walking the dog around the area and finding a dog walk area was simple, next to the Gaslamp Quarter sign and coffee as well. I didn't try the food at the hotel.

We stayed in a double bed room. Great renovated rooms, I love the new design and style. Room was super clean, smelled nice. Floor to ceiling windows looking out at San Diego. Shower had great water pressure. The pool was great, spent a lot of time there. There was a DJ on Saturday afternoon for some good music. Only downside I can think of is the body wash soap they keep in the showers: it smells nice but it doesn’t lather or rinse off well.
