In short, this is what a hotel would be if AI created it with out any human influence. First of all there is not a living soul working at the place. No front desk, no people at all. They indicate they will send you a “door code” thirty minutes prior to your check in time and a front door code as well. However, I never received it, and had to call after hours to get it and of course only AI answered, and was zero help. A guy (45 minutes later) apparently was alerted and I was finally sent my room code. Apparently (according to my Uber driver) the building was a church that someone purchased in order to to make it into a chic place to stay. Like most of these ventures the rooms are forced and have no natural light flow or lighting other than lamps. The decor throughout the building is ok at first glance, (many books and board games and hanging chairs etc) but it became very obvious that despite the attempt To arm warm, homey and inviting, it’s in fact a sterlile waste land of modernity. Again, it was if AI created this entire place and is now wondering “why don’t people love me?” It’s because it’s all fake and lacks soul. Oh and the WiFi didn’t work and the restaurant that was suppose to serve breakfast, lunch and dinner was never inhabited by a single person. In fact, I never saw a person on the property at all but me. They don’t have a pool

Upon returning to the hotel room Friday and Saturday afternoons, the TV and WiFi I was promised never materialized. Finally, I left the hotel Saturday after noon in frustration (one day early) never being able to see the World Cup or The US Open golf. My experience at Lilly Hall was one of the worst if not the worse hotel experience of my long life. PS. There was a gentleman, Walter, that did call my number and he tried to be helpful, however, in the end his hands were tied by the management or owners.

Clean room, cute amenities.

Loved the location. There was this particular smell in the room that made me nauseous. The best way I can describe it is the smell of a really old hospital. That pretty much ruined any type of comfort for me. There was also something sticky on the floor when we checked in which didn’t give a clean feel.

We booked the weekend getaway the day before arriving. The room was very artsy and spacious for a boutique hotel. The outdoor space had games and generous seating options. The lounge area on the level was full of books and interesting collections. The bed was very comfortable. We had dessert at the restaurant. Having the restaurant was an added bonus. We hope to return this summer. The location was perfect with many restaurant in walking distance.

In all our years of travel, absolutely the best hidden gem of a hotel we’ve ever come across. The restaurant, the staff, the speakeasy, the reading lounge, the location. The perfect hotel for ALL our needs. We will be back. You can not go here just once.

Virtual check in was pretty obnoxious. It's just not a welcoming experience to a property at this price point. Also, no on site breakfast or even like a coffee bar. Honestly the only employees on site are working at the restaurant, and only in the evenings. It's basically a shared air bnb. Oh and the pillows were awful.

Very cozy. Quiet. Nice to be in a residential area.

The hotel has good beds and linens, but small rooms ( or some are at least) a very poor, loud, AC system, poor cleaning, very poor sound proofing of rooms. It really depends on the price point you pay. These rooms can be as much as $400. They are worth 1/2 that amount. If you are paying at that 1/2 rate, then maybe an OK proposition. For example in room coffee provided is "instant" coffee. That a cheap way for the hotel to provide this service ( less labour cost) but not in keeping with an expensive room Also, note this is a 2 star - staff-less hotel. If you have any issues, no one will respond to you. I waited 13 hours for a responce. Most reponces are written by AI - and contain very little useful information. This is our future I suppose. I am predicting an AI generated responce to this review !

Lovely place to stay. Clean, quiet and comfortable

Lovely hotel, very clean. Check-in and out was very easy. Did not need to contact staff, as we had everything we needed. Sister Hen bar was great too!

Comfortable and easy check-in and check-out

Location is good, but walking to Palafox was slightly longer than I expected. Hotel has about 16 rooms in a building previously used as a church. Condition of rooms and common space like the Lily lounge on the 1st floor were immaculate and classy. Parking is very limited, but we had no problem. The bed was very comfortable. The hotel has a very nice restaurant on the ground floor. We encountered no staff other than the host at the restaurant, as there is no desk nor clerk. I was a little concerned about the electronic preregistration, coded building entry and room entry and checkout, all conducted via text or email, but everything worked out perfectly. This was a very nice stay! Thank you.

As a woman traveling mostly solo while my mom is in the hospital I had to book last minute because my initial hotel made me feel unsafe and they took my reservation right away. The building is completely locked unless you have the front entrance code followed by a secondary individual code for your room. They were so accommodating when I had to extend my stay last minute as well. The communication was on point and they seem to truly care about your comfort and safety. Loved that they had private parking and a restaurant and speakeasy right below. It was nice to unwind after spending emotional days at the hospital. I will definitely be back when I can just come to enjoy the stay. Nothing

Some positives: the beds were very comfortable and all was quiet. The water tasted good too! And the speakeasy was super cute as well. I would stay again, but beware of the check-in issues.
