The location is excellent, just a corner from Little Italy and Chinatown; not so far away from Greenwich Village! Four subway stations are on a short walking distance [Canal St., Bowery, Grand St., Spring St.). The building has a spirit of ''old, traditional New York''! The noise, not from the outside, but within the hotel. I could hear every step (''bumps'') from the corridor, and from the room above.

I liked this place, it was simple and comfortable and clean and well located. My room was very small but comfortable for not being in the room very much. Also there is no elevator so be prepared to climb some stairs. Overall would recommend and stay at again.

Location, decor was very cool and splendid No coffee in rooms, no phone to front desk, no elevator or readily accessible porter, no soap trays, no glasses in rooms just paper cups, would be nice with a refresh of water daily

It was ridiculously noisy. You could hear everything from the street noise people talking yelling all the traffic to people outside in the hallways. When I booked it said it was soundproof. Definitely not
