The first room they gave us didn’t have any windows and was stuffy. It did not at all match the photo of the type of room I selected. I asked for a different room. The room they gave us was on the 2nd floor, street side and each night I was awoken by loud garbage trucks or people yelling. Walls were very thin.

Loved the location since we there for 2 nights but only one full day. We attended a party in Brooklyn and also did the Statue of Liberty tour — very convenient location plus I love the charm of FiDi! Also, we enjoyed the free breakfast. Although, this was the first Hampton that didn’t have gluten free bagels. The first room they gave us didn’t have any windows and was stuffy. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. I frequent New York City often (lived in the city for years and still come regularly for both business and leisure) and I am very pleased with this hotel. It was well kept and the staff is very friendly. Will definitely stay here again soon.

The rooms are a good size—small but not crowded. They offer a free continental breakfast in a cozy dining room, where the food is tasty and warm. The staff is very friendly and helpful. There are also many places to eat nearby, ranging from budget eateries to fine restaurants. The area is highly convenient, safe to walk in during the evening, and public transport is just steps away!
