Richard's Pet Friendly Motel

The property is always well kept. Thanks Mr Richard’s for even having a pet friendly place.

The room was small, but clean and cozy. The staff were helpful and nice. But don't expect a 5-star room or anything. It's in the slightly crazier part of town, but not dangerous. It's also quiet at night and very conveniently located to great food and shopping areas. Right down the street from the beach. If you're just looking for a place to sleep for the night for a good price, or to be close to the beach, this place will definitely fulfil your needs.

Staff was polite. The room appeared clean but we did find a roach in the bathroom, thus ending our stay a day early. The neighborhood did not feel safe and we were needing to catch an uber before 4 am so that was concerning for us (had we not left a day early). The property itself was cute enough, the courtyard was adorable.

That it’s Pet Friendly and clean. I walked to my car and my rear view mirror was damaged, because we parked along the street, of the property.

Check-in and additional fees. Time-consuming confusion. Rude, condescending clerk. No baggage assistance. No regard for senior citizen with disabilities.

The check-in was a negative experience. No senior discounts. Fees for keys and pets must be paid in cash and are excessive.

We love the area and the property itself The room had roaches as soon as we entered the room. The staff is very rude trying to kick us out during the stay because the owner placed us in an area that is not normally pet friendly but my dog is a service dog and we had stayed there before.

I liked having a reserved area for my dog. Old facilities, confusing check-in. The address they sent in the email did not match the check-in location and no one cared to help. I spent an hour trying to locate the location and check-in. The place had a lot of smokers in the common areas and was not clean.

Great service and was able to stay with my dogs.

Older family motel that was clean and comfortable. Convenient to Gullstream Park. Just off the main drag.

I tried checking in but then found out that you had to be 21 to check in. I had already paid and asked for a refund to which the staff agreed to help, but when Expedia reached out to them they denied my refund and then stopped answering our calls.

Demanded $10/hour to check in early even though room was sitting there empty. I know they are not required to let me in but ugh. No chairs at pool. Only check in window. Office door never unlocked. In the very fine print it says a $50 cash deposit is for key. They did not have cash to give back the next day and told me to walk two blocks to get. I said no you get it. The cash d

This motel is a scam!!! When I booked through Booking.com, it showed me the total $100.46. When I got there, the front desk guy told me I need to add another $100 for my two little dogs. When I asked if I can cancel it, he said "sure, it's cancelled now". Then I left and booked another hotel. When I asked Booking.com to refund me the money, Booking.com told me in the system, it does not show it's been cancelled. What a scam!! Lied to my face (Richard's Pet Friendly Motel). If I don't get the refund, I'm going to call my credit card company! The guy works at the front desk is a professional liar! Didn't even blink his eyes when he lied!!! Charge me double for the price I saw when i was ready to book? No, thank you! Told me it's been cancelled while deliberately NOT to cancel!! Stay away from this scamming motel!!!

Where to begin? There are so many awful things to say about this place. Let me just say i paid for 4 days and left halfway through the second day. No refund, and i dont care. I am just thankful to be anywhere else.

Friendly, great price and location. It has the cleanliness issues that can be expected at this price point but I love it and feel safe. Some cockroach, some leftover hair.

let me without electric for two days and then told me it was OK to have my dogs and told me the next day that I had to leave because I had dogs

Everything was nice clean quiet I don’t like the keys old style keys. I think they should put the keys that you could just leave in the room and not have to pay a deposit for I think that’s very antiquated and besides that everything else is fine they need to update their system. It’s very antiquated.
