The Wyndam in Chicago is a budget hotel with limited amenities. I'll do in a pinch, but there are a lot of better hotels in the area.
-
The cost of parking across street was $62.00. Most hotels give u parking pass if youre spending the night. The other lot was $35 but its a few blocks away. It coat us 80.00 to use the bike carriage to Soldier Field and they wanted anywhere from $600- $200 to get back so we walked. We are seniors so we struggled walking back. We won't be back to Chicago for concert anymore.

Basic but a great location

Liked that they had fresh towels everyday. A little outdated but it worked.

This is a great hotel with easy access to Soldier Field and close to the Red Line to get to Sox or Cubs games. Clean and affordable with friendly staff and comfy beds

Nice hotel.
-
Very old. Not many outlets in room. Window a/c. Hotel does not have own parking. Location was nice otherwise not worth value. Beds were not comfortable at all

The hotel gets mixed reviews, but we had an excellent experience. The hotel and rooms are a bit dated in design. However, the paint was fresh on the walls, and the room was impeccably clean. Our room was quiet and we slept well. The kitchen has a fridge, microwave, and coffee machine. The room itself was very spacious. The staff was welcoming and helpful with an early check in. The location is great within steps of the park, near a Trader Joe's, and with lots of restaurants nearby. Highly recommend this property if you are seeking something clean, comfortable, and well located.

TV did not work but staff was helpful
-
No free parking, no free breakfast...Tv was at least 15 years old...Wifi was decent, room was ample, staff was friendly. I expected more but it did what we needed it to do.

Allowed early check out, room was nice. Great location!
-
Basic hotel which is fine but for the price rip off

The staff was helpful and friendly. I liked that there was two different restaurants you could eat at within the hotel (not super expensive). It’s close within walking distance of sightseeing, transportation and a ton of other local food places. The hotel rooms do need to updated. The carpets are old and stained. The rooms also do not come with a microwave or a mini fridge. The ac in our room only worked if it was on full blast. The room is nothing special but will do if your there for a few nights.

For travelers looking for a cheaper option near the Loop, it's difficult to beat. A half block off Michigan Avenue and the adjacent Grant Park, the hotel is older and no-frills (it even has window air-conditioners) but it is clean, quiet and comfortable, and the front desk is helpful. If all you're looking for is a shower and good night's sleep, and don't mind walking a few extra blocks to access downtown, it's a great deal.

It started with a cockroach in the sink when we first arrived. The television did not work appropriately so we were unable to hear it or turn it off. We were on the second floor and the people above us were extremely loud all night long the room was set up terribly so we were unable to plug things in the phone was not hooked up, so had to use our own phones to call the front desk. I will say that the staff was very lovely and accommodating when I complained.

Location
-
Terrible experience for the price. No breakfast, no pool, no parking, rooms were dirty and itchy blankets. Rooms old with old AC. Rooms were hot. Only one towel.

Room was clean and staff was kind and helpful!

Honestly this was an amazing find for a downtown Chicago stay. If you’re super picky about how the room looks and want something modern, this isn’t for you. If you want a great location, helpful staff, affordable rates, and sound proof walls, then this is your place.
