My Boyfriend considers this our Chicago Home away from home. We love the spacious rooms, the convenient parking lot behind the building where we can literally keep an eye on our vehicle from the room. Front desk was incredibly helpful and gracious. We really loved how walkable the area was. We felt safe and the music venue we were here for was just a few blocks away. No notes, place is great!

At check in the room that was reserved 3 months earlier was not available. They told a few stories that didn't add up. First, my room was not ready yet, so If I waited 15 minutes it would be ready. When I said "ok I'll wait" they changed their story and said there was actually a problem with the room. I requested another room of the same kind and they didn't have one. So, I offered to accept the smaller room but I would like to be credited the difference in the cost, they refused, but offered "points" on their rewards program. I told them that was not ideal, but I would accept. THEN, after all that, they actually couldn't give the points. Imagine too, every time I tried to work with them the desk person had to walk back to talk to the manager. So I was left with a "take what you get" scenario after three attempts to let them make good on the reservation. I asked the manager to come to the front desk and explain it to me better, and he simply stonewalled me. Nothing offered, just "sorry we don't have the room you reserved, take this other one and that's it.

The staffs are wonderful!

Pleasant staff, helpful and professional. Wish there was a bathtub in my room. Bring earplugs as some folks are noisy in the middle of the night and you can hear the traffic on the street.

The rooms were very clean, and it was always nice coming back to a freshly cleaned room after a long day. The staff were polite, friendly, and very helpful throughout the stay. The breakfast spread was good with a decent variety of options. I would have appreciated a few more vegetarian and vegan choices, but overall it was a comfortable and pleasant experience.

It was great! I only stayed there for one night but the pullout couch was so comfortable and it was cleaned very well! Staff was so sweet and offered me and my friends complimentary waters because we were waiting for a long time to get our room. Will book again if I ever come back to Chicago!

Superb

The bed was not comfortable. Way too soft. The pull out couch mattress was gross. Had stains all over it. Had to call front desk multiple time before I finally got someone to bring up sheets for it. When they did bring up sheets it was 4 sheets all fitted for a king size bed. We made them work but they should have provided proper fitted sheets. Also parking is not included. Be prepared to pay around $52 a day for parking. The hotel has no parking of their own. The breakfast bar was better than most. Staff was very friendly.

Poor

Staff was very friendly. The lobby was beautiful. The visitors who stayed here used terrible language; wore little to no clothing . Literally just underwear and see through tights or incredibly short dresses. I did not feel comfortable with my young daughters around other guests. Also witnessed a woman screaming and cursing at breakfast on the phone. Just very overwhelming.
