nothing really wrong with the hotel but i registered (through a 3rd party Expedia) for the ammenities like the pool, hot tub, etc. but when i checked in they were "indefinitely under maintenance" and closed. this is NOT disclosed when booking on 3rd party sites and they said it's not their problem or fault and they refused to give me a refund or cancel my reservation. But i called expedia, they cancelled my remaining days, then called my credit card company and they reversed the charge. another note... they also don't disclose that there's ONLY valet parking and the parking garage attached to the hotel is not covered. you have no choice but to use the attached garage to check in and they wouldn't even give me a credit for it so i could move my car. you're charged for 24 hours as soon as you park. so, i lost one day's stay ($250) and one day parking ($60!!!). and to be clear it IS the hotel's responsibility to update 3rd party sites.

This is a pretty mixed review because it kind of comes from all angles. The hotel itself is very old, the rooms are very old. My mattress was about as pitiful as it could be and that’s pretty crazy because my husband and I just bought a new mattress thinking that our mattress at home was probably the worst there ever was. Well that one would’ve been comfy compared to the hole that was in our mattress at the hotel. The pool was closed in June. We made the reservation in February and a couple days before our trip they let us know the pool was out of service. The employees were great! The service was great! The hotel was old and way overpriced. Says it’s a 4 star but definitely more like a 3 star. I expect more from Omni and at $400 some a night I expected way more.

I was extremely disappointed with my stay this weekend. The pool was closed due to construction, and the rooftop bar area shut down at 10 PM. With temperatures over 90 degrees and it being NBA Championship weekend, the amenities were the primary reason my wife and I chose this hotel. Unfortunately, the experience did not meet expectations, and we left very dissatisfied.

Call ahead of time and make sure pool is working

Our stay went well. Staff was pleasant and helpful. I would only suggest a few more options for food and beverages in the club lounge.

Coin bar was very overrated and toilet was not flushing on first day of trip.

From the valet to check in was 5 stars! I highly recommend this property.

Very clean

Sooo... we got about 3 hours away from the Omni after our stay only to realize our wedding clothes got somehow pushed to the back of the closet in black wardrobe bags. We didn't see them when we did a final check. Tre at the front desk was amazing! He was so kind in the way he dealt with my panic. Was calm and patient with my multiple phone calls. And he was super helpful to explain how I could retrieve our items. He saved the day and the wedding! Thank you, Tre! We will stay at the Omni again should be pass through Charlotte again.
