Stayed there for a weekend getaway. Service was great and location was everything!! Feet away from market and entertainment.
-
Wonderful stay, everything was great! Thank you!

It was ran down, dingy and expensive. Not at Ll as what was depicted online. The Planters Inn remains as a rare jewel, truly a classic southern charmer. Read the wonderful reviews!

We paid extra for a room with a balcony and we were literally placed in the corner next to the maid closet. So every morning they slam the door open(no fault of theirs it’s just the way the door opens onto their carts as they stock them). Then no balcony. Second floor yet people on street just talking, not shouting sounded as if they were in our room. I paid a lot of money and was nothing but disappointed with this property. I now see why people don’t like to stay here.

The bed and pillows need to be updated. Not comparable to cost paid for stay.

The building is old and the corridors and rooms have an unpleasant musty smell to them. They try to mask it with carpet freshener in the lobby and dehumidifiers in the corridors, but it was overwhelming. I was disappointed for the star rating and price range.

Nice classic hotel. Excellent location with excellent staff and service. Comfortable room.

We had a wonderful stay at Planters Inn while celebrating my mom’s 80th birthday in Charleston. The staff was exceptional, our courtyard-facing suite was spacious and comfortable, and the location was perfect. Having a great restaurant on-site was an added bonus. We would definitely stay here again!

The hotel itself is absolutely beautiful ! We were quite amazed at the twelve foot ceilings in our room & throughout the hotel, the walls were adorned with a very classic golden damask wallpaper. It all flowed quite seamlessly. The Pennisula Grill was quite impressive, as well. In all fairness, it was a Friday night. With that being said, things had gotten off to a slow start & our waiter was quite busy and his demeanor was initially not overly welcoming. However, once dinner ensued, our dining experience quickly became one to be remembered. Their filet literally melts in your mouth. Everything was delicious ! Outside the restaurant, is a very relaxing courtyard, complete with tropical plants & fountains. Simply beautiful. The hotel is located right across from the mkt. and just above Rainbow Row. Very conveniently located for all this beautiful city has to offer ! Cannot recommend this hotel enough ! Will certainly stay here again Thank you to all who made this trip wonderful Stars: 5/5
