Hyatt House Atlanta Cobb Galleria

The location is off the highway and free parking, which I appreciated. This property is in pretty bad shape. I was working long hours and checked in after midnight. The first night I was there The Room had a lot of issues, but I was so tired opted just to go to sleep rather than deal with it at that time. I plan to hopefully address the issues in the room or switch rooms, but whenever I walked by the front desk, there was a line and I just didn’t have the time to wait for a long time. There were quite a few issues with things, feeling broken and rundown, every single outlet around the bed, including the two on the lamp, and the one on the wall were loose and so it would not hold a charging cable. The blackout blind was broken and so let Light in in the morning. There were several large stains that looked like oil stains on the blind that looked really disgusting. Lots of damage to the paint, including whole parts of paint that we’re missing. Pieces of the carpet in the hallway that we’re missing and just an overall feeling of it being rundown. I was quite surprised given all of the positive reviews on the Booking platform. I mentioned many of these issues to the woman at the front desk when I checked out and just told her I was passing the zone so hopefully they could address some of the things for the next guest, but she brushed every single one of them off and said that it’s getting renovated in October. So if you wanna charge your phone by your bed, too bad I guess they don’t care. Silly, since this would be such an easy fix to switch out the lamp or swap out the outlet, which I don’t even know would be replaced in a room renovation. If you don’t care about these things, it’s a good price for Atlanta.

My A/C was out so they gave me a box fan to use because there were no other rooms available.

Easy, friendly check- in. Our room was immaculate. The only thing that might bother folks is a background drumming-like noise. Our room was at the end of the hall, next to a room marked staff only. We think the low rumbling might have been laundry machines. It was not enough to bother us but was quite puzzling on the first day.

Overall, the property was good. The sofa was starting to look worn and stained and could use replacement soon. The sheet on the sofa bed had a small rip and no additional blanket was provided for it.

Most everything! The front desk guy was wonderful! Cheerful and bubbly and very helpful! Not enough parking. A trucker took up 4 spots and made it impossible not to take a charging spot.

We had a short stay, but the experience was great.
